Lyon-Martin, healthcare for SF LGBTQ, needs your help!

Lyon Martin in San Francisco, CA has offered medical attention to women & transgender people in the community. Due to recent budget cuts, and piling debts they may have to close their doors after 30 yrs.

PLEASE DONATE. Anything will help. Lyon-Martin needs to raise at least $250,000 to reduce immediate debts and be able to continue providing invaluable healthcare to its patients

If we all pull together and donate even $5 I know that we can all raise the money to keep these wonderful people in the business of helping those in need. Even if you can’t donate, please post this on your face book, your twitter, your blog, your DA, everywhere that others can see and spread the word of this wonderful places plight. Lets take a stand together and help keep this place alive and floating.

Without Lyon-Martin,
-7 women would have had their breast cancer advance undiagnosed.
-20 patients would have had their HIV viral load increase, risking advancement to AIDS and spread of HIV to others.
-Nearly 100 patients would have had their diabetes go out of control, risking blindness, limb loss and kidney failure.
-150 people would have had their abnormal pap smears progress to cervical cancer.
-More than 400 transgender patients would have had to buy black market hormones.
-Nearly 2,500 people would not have had the necessary information to answer the question, "How are you?"

Facebook Page

I discovered a group/community account option for Facebook that a few other friends have been using for their public accounts. I thought that I'd utilize that to replace my old public Facebook... that....really.... really.... died of spam XD I hope that this setup will allow for better organization so I can respond and talk to people better. It'll also give me an easy place to put all my cosplay stuff that I don't upload on DA (progress pics etc.). It'll be for cosplay specifically (while Tumblr is more personal)

I've already announced this elsewhere, but I will be getting chest surgery Feb 7th! I'm ridiculously excited, and at the moment I'm just not really able to concentrate on anything else XD
