Just like the Animethon review this review is pretty late too XD and just as with all of my other reviews I have to cut out so many details and special mentions otherwise this would go on forever. Too amny amazing things and good times happened XD

Anime Revolution was at the end of August and it was the first con that FDP has been together at in a long time. It was amazing not just to spend time with and run panels with the group but also to hang out with so many of our friends from Vancouver. We also got to see many people from Vancouver and abroad again and we got to meet many people from all over who came to AR this year for the first time!!! I can't thank everyone who attended our events/panels and came up to us to say hi and ask for photos enough. Thank you all so much for your support  it was an absolute pleasure and honour to meet everyone we met this year and to get to see familiar faces again.

As with last year Anime Revolution was professionally run by staff who were busy as heck whenever I saw them but always on the ball making sure that the con ran smoothly. Thank you so much to the staff and con organizers for working hard to make AR the best con it can be. As I said last year AR was a first year con that felt like a seasoned con, and this year they did not disappoint by improving the con even more so that I didn't feel like I was at anything but an established convention.

Friday

I woke up early on Friday to go downtown to do a short interview on the CBC Morning Edition on Cosplay and Anime Revolution. It was a really short but really cool experience, and they even started the segment by playing the Sailor Moon into theme because I was cosplaying as Tuxedo Mask XD

I headed over to the con where I met up with :iconjj-dreamworldz: and we went to the opening ceremonies together since no one else had arrived yet XD I walked into the main stage area and was surprised when Jessica Nigri called my name from behind and came up to say hello. We talked briefly last year but I didn't think she would remember me at all but she did and so we sat down together and talked for a bit. She's such a fantastic person I can't even XD

We met up with :iconvandorwolf:, :iconmavichaos:, :iconispeakmuffin:, :icontheelfinartist:, :iconsatsori:, :iconkaleso: and :iconweatherstone: for our Sailor Moon photoshoot outside which was 40% photo taking and 60% this:

Afterwards we met with :iconvaldrein: and :iconheimdallll: headed off to run the Final Fantasy Fight Tournament for the first time without it's creator, :iconkenshiro-fdp: and man was I a wreck trying to organize everything (especially since the main stage room was full so there were a LOT of people there to see it if we crashed and burned XD). Working together we managed to pull it off and got quite a show with the winning team being a random pick from the audience who called themselves "Team Probably Going to Lose".

After a successful FFFT we headed off to lunch!

After that we headed back to the con and ran our FDP Q&A that was the first one we had when we were all together!!! WOO!!!! It was a lot of fun :)

We hung around after our panel and chatted with people, took photos and all that awesome stuff. I was really thrilled to get to meet lots of local people who like our work! I guess that even though we all live in the same city it's still a big city so I haven't met all the cosplayers here like I think I have XD.

Saturday

Saturday began with a Magi group photoshoot which was one of the bigger shoots we've done in a while and man was it awesome. We took photos, derped relentlessly, I licked :iconvaldrein:, it was a pretty routine day for all of us, really XD

After the shoot, :iconvandorwolf: and :iconvaldrein: and I headed off to MC the Cosplay Contest! We've never MC'd a Cosplay Contest before so this was really new for us but it was SO MUCH FUN! All the entries were so damn impressive, and the event organizers even included little minigames between sets of entrants to break up the contest a little and get the audience involved.

Also, Jessica Nigri said I looked sexy as Judal  gah! And she also snapped a photo of me on her Instagram which I thought looked really good so imma post it here XD thanks for taking this Jessica!

In the evening we hung around together on the roof of the convention centre for some more photos and walked around talking to people. it was really chill ;) :icondynolove: went up on :iconweatherstone:'s shoulders at one point and they became the grandest human of them all >8D

Sunday

Sunday morning was the Worst Cosplay Contest and we had NO PLAN. We created our concept for it the night before and showed up hoping our improv skills would kick in XD I was "battle damage Eren" which consisted of just the straps (cause, you know, totally makes sense for the outermost gear to stay in tact right,? *fanservice*). We had :iconispeakmuffin: join as my personal favourite, "Bat Bag". :iconmitchalverley: also joined as.... well let's not talk about that XD

Initially we thought that no one was going to show up since it was early on Sunday and we were like "WHELP TOO BAD" but then the doorman asked if he could let people in and suddenly the room was PACKED. We were nervous backstage but once we got started everything fell into place perfectly and we had ample audience participation SO THANK YOU GUYS! And congrats to :iconmitchalverley: for winning with overwhelming audience support XD He was so in character I was kind of scared shitless beside him on stage hahaha

I had a blast (as you can see from the photo here XD)

After the contest I changed out of "Eren" and into Peter Pan for the rest of this day. And I tell you, I do NOT remember this costume being so damn itchy! We ran our last panel for the day and it went very well, I can't thank everyone enough for attending them :)

Afterwards we hung around the con and went into the dealers room/artist alley where we got to chat with a lot of people and saw SO MUCH AMAZING ARTWORK!!!! AHH! :iconvandorwolf: and I were mismatched in terms of costumes in the most ridiculous of ways (Peter Pan and Jason Todd...)

Finally we headed to the Closing Ceremonies

I adore travelling around the world to cons but it's wonderful to be surrounded by your friends at a local con like this :3

THANK YOU ANIME REVOLUTION FOR BEING SO AWESOME!!!! I'm really hoping to see many of the people I met and met again at AR at Aki Con or around some other local events. Hope it won;t be another full year until I see you guys! D:
