Now that we're back from Sakura Con it's time to look forward to Banzaicon coming up this weekend in Larvik Norway! :iconvandorwolf:, :iconvaldrein: and I are attending as guests and we can't wait to see all of our Banzaicon peeps again :3 we've missed you guys!!! I also hope that we'll be able to meet many more wonderful people this year, needless to say I'm stoked that we're coming back to Norway ;D We have a lot of new stuff planned this year, including all new panels, an Avengers-themed gameshow and we will also be premiering a brand new CMV to a Norwegian song just as we promised we would last year ;D

This con also means we'll be re-united with *Valdrein after 3 months of her being in Finland so there will be happy tears and celebrations a-plenty all around 8D

Saturday: 10:00am Crossplay Panel

As always, please don't hesitate to come say hi to us at the con ;) meeting people is what we're there to do! It isn't often that we get to hangout with people from the opposite side of the world.

Now I've gotta run off to finish cosplays XD See you guys soon!! And if you're going leave a comment and let me know what you're cosplaying (if you are) looking forward to seeing everyone!!!!!!
WELL Sakura Con is just around the corner!! 8D I'm really excited that we get to go down to Seattle for Sakura Con this year, because for a while there we were pretty sure that it wasn't going to be possible for us to go at all considering that we have Banzaicon and GCFF/Supanova Expo right after it. But thanks to friends and getting our stuff together we managed to make it work! I can't wait to hang out with our con friends :3 and I also can't wait to meet all the people who have posted that they will be going to SC this year! So many new faces to meet, and so many familiar faces to catch up with 8D I'm looking forward to a nice, chill hang out con. More than likely we will just be hanging around the lobby near the fountains or up around the windows on the fourth floor outside the artist/dealers hall.

Cosplay Schedule

Friday: Howl (Howl's Moving Castle)
Saturday: Fix it Felix Jr. (Wreck it Ralph)
Sunday: Casual, more than likely, as we'll only be there until about noon

Looking forward to meeting people/seeing people again!!! If you see us around pleaseeee don't hesitate to say hi! ;D I WILL PERFORM A MAGIC TRICK ON FRIDAY AND FIX YOU ON SATURDAY AND ON SUNDAY i'll just kinda drool a but cause that's my out of cosplay reality.

if you are going, and if you want to, blow your sakura petal self down to the comment box and let me know what you're cosplaying! ;) I'd love to know what wonderful cosplays I can expect to see.

My plans for the weekend are:
Friday: Dean Winchester (Supernatural)
Saturday: Robin/Tim Drake (Teen Titans (90's))
Sunday:Rick (The Walking Dead)

Who else is going to ECCC? If you want please comment and let me know what you will be cosplaying (if you are cosplaying) so that I know who to keep my eyes peeled for :3 and of course, as usual, please do not hesitate to say hi if you see me! I loving meeting knew people and chatting with old friends :) that's what cons are for!!

See you there ;)
We can finally put up our big announcement that we've been dying to, well, ANNOUNCE! We'll be returning to BANZAICON in Larvik Norway this year! And in addition we'll have :iconvaldrein: with us this year as well!
We've been sitting on this info for quite some time and just got the go ahead to announce it today, it's been tough keeping this from you Banzaicon peeps!

Banzaicon (Larvik, Norway) April 5th-7th
[link]

Hope to see you guys there!!! 8D We're STOKED that we get to return to Norway and we have a lot of new and exciting stuff planned for you guys ;)

You can see our little announcement video for the con here ;)
[link]

And with that I'm off to do more catch up work because, once again, I've fallen terribly behind D8
LONG TIME NO POST EH? Sorry about the absence, it's been a little busy over the past few months and I haven't had too much to post about anyway XD But some new stuff has come up as of late so hereeeeee we go!

GIVEAWAY

After looking for a few things in my closet today I pulled out some old costumes and realized that I don't fit them anymore. Most notably Kuja and Davis ^^; In the case of Davis I can't even get the jacket over both shoulders XD I've decided to give this stuff away, so my Kuja wig and my Davis cosplay (jacket and shorts) are up for grabs in a contest via my Facebook page: [link]

Just share the link! Contest ends Tuesday Jan 29th :3

Emerald City Comic Con

Some of us will be at Emerald City Comic Con in March! I just bought tickets so I'm excited that plans for this con are actualizing :) Not 100% sure on cosplay plans yet, that'll come a bit closer to the date.

One thing about this con is that it comes 2 weeks after a rather intensive surgery I am having, so I'm not sure how mobile I will be at the con. I'm hoping that I'll be in good enough shape to really enjoy the con, but nevertheless it will be amazing to get to see hang out with good friends at ECCC :) really looking forward to it as fun times and a new experience con-wise!

Arcade Con 2013 REGISTRATION IS OPEN!

Nova and are coming to Arcade Con (Dublin, Ireland) this summer! Pre-registration opened a little while back, so if you haven't pre-regged yet you can do so here: [link]

Annnddd I think that's about it for now! *rolls away*
Many of you already know this since the announcement was made before we went to N2U, but we were invited to attend Arcade Con 2013 as guests this summer! We absolutely cannot WAIT to visit Ireland, meet (or reunite with since we've met a few of you ;) ) our Irish peeps and experience an Irish con. All very exciting AND VERY IRISH CONSIDERING I JUST SAID IRISH OR IRELAND 3 TIMES IN A SINGLE SENTENCE.

The con will be held July 5th-7th 2013 at the BallsBridge Hotel in Dublin, Ireland

We'll be holding panels (including some new panels for 2013 that we're currently working on, gotta keep it fresh!!), premiering a new episode of one of our series or a CMV and generally just hanging out at the con. I think I also told one person that we were going to slow dance into the moon SO WE'LL BE DOING THAT TOO. All for the sake of science.

Their pre-reg and updated website will be up soon (I'll post when it goes up as well ;)) but for now you can check them out on Facebook: [link]
This is a rather late journal, as N2U was 2 weeks ago XD but better late than never! N2U was a blast :) it's a smaller con, but smaller cons usually means more intimate experiences and that's exactly what N2U was. We made lots of fast friends and saw most people more than once so I feel like we really got spend time with people at this con which was awesome :)

I would like to give a huge thanks to the staff who all worked their asses off to make the con happen and who were all extremely welcoming and kind to us :) Special thanks to our guest liaison, :iconcult-clueless: who made sure that we were taken care of in all respects

Thursday:

We arrived late Thursday night and were greeted at the aiport by Naru, the con chair, and *Cult-Clueless. They had brought us both bouquets of flowers and chocolate truffles! What an awesome welcoming party! We were pretty damn impressed by that :3

After checking in we went to bed because by that time it was about 1am XD

Friday:

We explored the section of Ottawa we were in before the con started. After walking around the area we found a breakfast place and ate there. It was all pretty relaxing. Then we went back to the hotel and changed into out Naruto cosplays and prepared for our panel. On the way to opening ceremonies we met a number of awesome folks (:iconimspiritb:, :icontsukune:, :iconderangedspazz: and many others who's DA's I have not found yet!). After the opening ceremonies was out first panel, the Wig Panel, which went extremely well :) a huge thank you to everyone who came and asked questions and dealt with my crazy diamond of a laptop

We spent our time after the panel chatting with people and taking photos. Everyone was so friendly! 8D

Saturday:

Saturday was Avatar day, so I had to wake up around 5am to shave my head 100% bald and then paint on my arrows and lines. It look a lot less time than expected, so I spent the rest of the morning putting hairspray on myself to ensure that the paint wouldn't come off XD
We headed to out morning panel, which was way busier than I was anticipating considering it was so early XD

In between we met up with :iconcult-clueless:, :iconzehsexiiroxas: and :iconzozoblackiechan: who were cosplaying fire nation Katara, Sokka and Zuko for a photoshoot. Along the way we stalked/ran into an awesome Toph, :iconyume456:, and her equally as awesome friend who was cosplaying Lucy from Elfen Lied. :iconeverage: and :iconhenrickson: were kind enough to take photos for us. It was VERY cold!!! I can't believe that any of us survived that without frostbite on out toes because we all had out shoes off XD

We ran out second panel and it went VERY well. We premiered "The GAang" and I embarrassed myself on stage: [link] Thank you guys so much for participating and being an all around awesome audience. I had a lot of fun at out panels :)
At one point an adorable Haku and San from Spirited Away asked for a photo from us and passed the camera to Harley Quinn (:iconauthenticem:) who got in a war of attrition with the camera. This girl was awesome, and her + technology became the running gag of the con XD We also met up with a fantastic Death the Kid cosplayer who was on an exchange from Germany, she was so sweet!

After the panel the talented :iconhenrickson: did another shoot with us. We tried the pool but couldn't do much, so we went back outside and took a few photos :) by the end of it I had to admit I was shaking with cold (I didn't have a shirt on!!!). But I wanted to take photos with a Chii Blocker who helped us out with the shoot so I pushed past the shaking cold which ultimately gave me a cold. BUT IT WAS WORTH IT!!! >8D

After that was the Masquerade. So many awesome entries! The winner of Best in Show was a spot on Effie Trinket cosplayer who went to the max for her character. She had multiple handmade Effie costumes for the con.
*Cult-Clueless took us for dinner and then we came back to the con and met up with :iconcosplaycanada: who was dressed as Slenderman and had bought me PIE for my Dean Winchester cosplay. THIS WAS THE BEST THING EVER!!! We filmed a skit concluding our Dean vs. Slenderman skit ([link]). Along the way we pulled in some willing actors including an adorable Kite and Sora cosplayer and my favourite female Deadpool ever :iconelectricvisuals: (this girl was a natural at improv, so fantastic to work with her!). The skit will be up in the next few weeks ;)

Sunday:

Sunday was Kuroshitsuji day. We had a lot more free time this day, and we mostly spent it winding down and chatting with people which was wonderfully relaxing.

We did out final panel which went very well and we said a fond farewell and a huge thank our to everyone who had attended out panels over the weekend. I wish I could give shoutouts to all of the wonderful people we talked to, but this journal is long enough as it is (believe me it's been hard to choose what to include and what not to! If I wasn't being selective here we'd be here all day XD). We miss you guys :(

N2U was an awesome convention. We really enjoyed the people, the setting and the mood of the con. It was very unique, specifically with how close and familiar everyone seemed to be (tight knit community I guess you'd call it XD). I really hope that we will be able to return to a con in the Ontario/Montreal area sometime soon!!! We met so many welcoming, hilarious and friendly people that I can't imagine never seeing them again. Our time there was far too short :(

Here's to the good times at N2U! Thank you for having us!

It's finally time to start announcing our plans for N2U (considering that we leave for Ottawa in 3 days XD). SO STOKED!! Please come see us at the con, we would love to meet everyone and if you do see us please PLEASE don't hesitate to say hi! We're at the con to meet people and put on some panels for you guys, plus this might be our only opportunity to visit Ontario!

"The GAang", a new series about the Avatar gang, will be premiered on Saturday at our FDP General Q&A panel (Noon-1:30pm)

As for the cosplays we're bringing we asked you guys what you wanted to see, and the highest voted cosplay was Naruto so we're busting out those cosplays for N2U! We're also bringing Kuroshitsuji because it was within the top few voted cosplays as well and we've never really done it formally over the years that we've had the wigs and the costumes XD

Cosplay Schedule

Friday- Naruto (Naruto Shippuden)
Saturday- Aang (Avatar: Book 3)
Sunday- Sebastian (Kuroshitsuji)

Panel Schedule

Friday- FDP Cosplay Wigs (8pm-9pm)
Satuday- FDP Filming for Youtube (10am-11am), FDP General Q&A (Noon-1:30pm)
Sunday- FDP Cosplay Groups (2:30pm-3:30pm)

In between panels we'll be roaming around the con seeing the sights and socializing :) Hope you'll join us!
I had noticed that our subscriber count on the FDP Youtube ([link]) account was getting close to hitting 80,000 last week but I figured that we had until after N2U before that happened. Yesterday I logged into the FDP Youtube account and realized (after a while because I'm always the last horse to cross the finish line XD) that we had hit 80,000!!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!! According to a 2005 census the city of Yalta has a population of 79, 982... THEREFORE, if we were ever challenged to a square dance by the city of Yalta WE COULD PAIR UP SORTA EVENLY 8D
But seriously... I love you guys. You've given us so much support whether it's through comments, drawings/gifts, notes, favourites/likes/retweets/reblogs, coming up to us to say hello at cons and even going out of your way to ask your local cons to invite us as guests... if I think about it for too long it blows my mind. It's incredible to me that there are people out there who like what we do and who we are. We make videos/cosplay for the entertainment it brings you guys as well as the fun it brings to us. SYMBIOTIC RELATIONSHIP (I think... not sure cause Bio was never my forte). This isn't about profit, we'll never ask you for a dime for ourselves. As I always say to people who ask why we don't take donations for the group: that's your money to spend on your enjoyment, you guys shouldn't ever be expected to pay for someone else's fun. The sheer honour of having one person like our work is payment enough for us. And I know I use the word honour a lot, but that's really what it is, it's an absolute honour and I am humbled and deeply moved.
I never thought I'd be here. Especially me, the one with mediocre/lazy sewing skills, a speech impediment that can make acting/public speaking difficult, very little artistic skill to speak of and general average-ness... how did this happen? Not a clue. But the experience has thus far allowed me to meet and talk to more amazing people from all over the world than I can count. I can't thank you guys enough for your support over the past five years and I hope for your continued support as we bring out new cosplays, new episodes, new skits, new CMVs and new shows from fimiliar and un-fimiliar series'. We're constantly trying new things, so thank you for staying with us through the things that work as well as the things that don't work.
We appreciate you guys more than I can even express. I wish we had filmed a special thank you video in advance, but with any luck we'll be making one at Aki Con this weekend ;)
But, for now, thank you guys SO MUCH.
Please accept my face as a thank you gift for now

Aki Con

SHE APPRAOCHES! AND SHE IS A CREUL MISTRESS. But not really because Aki Con is our sweet fair lady from Washington state that never fails to please us year after year ;) I'm really looking forward to meeting some new people this year and of course meeting up with old friends again. I don't get to see my American peeps enough D: obvious answer is to burn down the Peace Arch.
If you guys see me around the con please don't hesitate to come say hi! I know I always say this but it's always true! I go to cons to talk with people and hang out!!!

My Aki Con cosplay lineup is:
Thursday- Undecided
Friday- Mako (Legend of Korra)
Saturday- Terra (Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep)
Sunday- Robin (Tim Drake- Teen Titans)
*** Also will likely bring Dean Winchester to lounge around in

See you guys there!!! If you're going let me know what you're cosplaying ;) (if you are cosplaying that is XD THERE I GO! ASSUMING ALL OVER THE PLACE)

N2U (Nov 16th-18th, Ottawa, Ontario)

[link]

Nova and I will be attedning N2U as guests and we can't WAIT to get to meet everyone and to experience a con at the other side of the country! We'll be posting more about our cosplay lineup, panels, premiere and perhaps another extra special surprise a little bit later. There will also be an announcement video for the con going up in the next few weeks once we can confirm... something... MWAha 8D

Kingdom Bros: Episode 4

Supernatural: Dean vs. Slenderman

And I think that's about all for now!!! 8D
Aang for a Cure/"The GAang"

After about a week of struggling to get the promo video for our Aang for a Cure fundraiser filmed I finally did it!!! In addition, I also briefly mentioned that the shaving of my head for Aang for a Cure will be tied in with the beginning of a series we're calling "The GAang". Since we couldn't start filming it before I had a shaved head, I figured that we'd mind as well combine the two events together!

The video can be seen here: [link]

Aki Con (Oct 26th-28th, Bellevue, Washington)

[link]

Aki Con quickly appraoches!!! I'm getting pretty pumped for the con that is usually the bro-con of the year! Looking forward to seeing old friend again for the weekend and getting to meet many new people as well (I hope!). I'll be updating next week with my cosplay schedule for Aki Con, because I'm hoping by then I'll have the wigs that I need to do a certain cosplay for sure. The only cosplay I can say that I'm bringing with utmost certainty at this point is Mako XD CAUSE HE'S DONNNEEEE.

N2U (Nov 16th-18th, Ottawa, Ontario)

[link]

We'll be posting more about our cosplay lineup, panels, premiere and perhaps another extra special surprise (;)) at little bit later. There will also be an announcement video for the con going up in the next few weeks once we can confirm... something... MWAha 8D
Anyone out there from Ontario? More specifically Ottawa? Because Nova and I have been invited as guests to N2U in Ottawa, Ontario! We're thrilled to go and see all of the folks at the other side of Canada that we thought we'd never see! I can't wait to meet everyone, run some panels for you guys, premiere a new video ;) (more on that coming soon!), take photos, chat, hang out-- It's going to be a BLAST! We've never been to a Canadian convention outside of BC before, this is a first!

Nova and I also wanted to do something extra special for you guys at N2U. We're going to be bringing Avatar to N2U, but that will be the only new cosplay we're wearing. The other two days we're leaving up to you guys! What do YOU want to see us cosplay again? You can suggest whatever you like here: [link]

The con is November 16th-18th, and you can pre-reg online at [link] until October 15th!

All info about N2U can be found at their website: [link]
I recorded a Hunger Games parody of "Boombox" as a surprise for my friends for the midnight showing of the movie last year. At the time I tried making a music video/lip dub for it but failed horribly because at the time we had no tripod and I had no one around to help me so whatareyougonnadoooo. Recently we got a new tripod (YAYYYY) so I decided to take another shot at it. The result it this:

[link]

I know, I know, I'm a bad singer. But I really like working with Garage Band to make parody songs, so it's something I want to keep trying my hand at. And hey! Maybe my voice will get better over time?? (LIES)
But who am I kidding I'm trying to improve on everything XD editing, acting, sewing, craft, theoretical physics... 4 years later and I'm still learning, forever learning! 8D

Anyway, hope you guys enjoy! We like to switch up our genre/style and series focus a lot so this is just something else that's new!

Also, don't forget to take a look at our current fundraiser Aang for a Cure!!! A video detailing that further will be up on Youtube this week ^_^

Hello everyone!

I've been thinking for the last month or so about FDP's next charity event. It's been a while since Nova's Pray for Japan campaign (relief for tsunami victims) and I figured that it might be time for another project.

I've been talking for years about shaving my head to cosplay Aang. He's my favourite character in The Last Airbender, and although I've cosplayed him before that was a while ago (aka I'm not satisfied with that costume XD). To kick my ass into gear to do this, I've decided to shave my head for cancer research. Shaving off hair for cancer fundraisers is a pretty common thing to do, but this time there's a twist… when you make a donation of any size to any cancer society (I've provided links to some major ones, but feel free to donate to any local organizations or organizations in your country that I may have missed!) reply to this message and include 1) Where you made a donation to 2) Who you want to shave Aang's head: Sokka, Zuko, Azula, Katara or Toph.

On November 5th whoever you guys picked will shave my head in an Avatar video :)

And please keep in mind that this is on the honour system! I'm not making a separate donation site because I feel like this way you guys KNOW that your money is going to charity on not to us or anyone else. So, if you're able to help out and if you know who want to see shave Aang, please donate to one of the linked cancer society donation pages OR donate to your local cancer society!

[link]

[link]

[link]

[link]

I think that most of us have someone in their lives who is affected by cancer, thank you so much for donating to a good cause :) even if you can't donate, you can help out by posting about this! Thank you!

Newest episode of Kingdom Bros [link]

Newest episode of The disFunctional Fire Ferrets [link]

With those two up, we're looking into doing some new stuff too. Primarily some DC Comics projects and some more Avatar projects. I also hope to finally start filming Behind the Bulter (Black Butler) Episode 1 soon, because we all know how long that one has been on the backburner XD

Also, if you're looking for our CMVs, just a quick reminder that they're on out Vimeo site [link]

If you guys have any suggestions, feel free to post 'em here! I'd love to know what you think and what you'd like to see next ;)

Finally, fanart of Mako's female alter ego from the new disFunctional Fire Ferrets episode, made me nearly pee myself this morning 8D
What an amazing con. It topped last year's Alcon (hence the chant buzzing around the con "Best Alcon Ever") and I was just so happy to be a part of that and meet so many amazing people that my Facebook literally exploded after the con ended. EXPLODED WITH MANLY RELISH THAT IS. I was going to wait until I had all the photos from the con before typing out this journal but meh, I've got time now and I've got energy SO LET'S CONQUER THIS SLIDE!!!

Myself, *VandorWolf and *Valdrein got into London Saturday morning and after going through the obstacle course that is the International Visitors way through Gatwick airport we were greeted by a sleepy `KellyJane who had woken up at 5am or something crazy like that to come get us at the airport (weloveyou). We spent the day with Parle in stinky plane clothes and with about 3 hours of sleep each which just made everything far more magical (except for the magic show we watched in Oxford Circus which was crap... I mean what kind of magician doesn't believe me when I say I'm from Asguard? CHECK YOUR PRIVILEGE MAGIC MAN). And at this point I should mention that the theme of the con was "check your privilege", because *Tomoyo-hime had far too much of it.

We spent the rest of the week touring around London. On Sunday we had a very short notice meetup at Hyde Park that brought our way more people than i was expecting considering that we literally planned it 2 days before leaving XD I climbed the upside down tree whist talking to ~mistergleeson about sewing or something stupid and off-topic. I loved talking with everyone and going to a Piccadilly Circus with the folks who came with us for dinner. You guys were such amazing company 8D

We also went to the Harry Potter set and did the tour there. It was incredible. I swear we nearly teared up at the end as we walked around the Hogwarts model that they used to shoot all of the arial shots of Hogwarts in the movies.

Alcon started with a bang in our DC Jumpsuits as Robin, Poison Ivy and Superboy. We got to see some of our wonderful Norwegian pals again :3 and then there was the Late Night Panel at which we introduced everyone to our idea for a show called "Mind the Gap". It is sort of like Hetalia, but with the lines of the London Tube instead of countries. Piccadilly Line is the carefree bane of everyone's existance, Bakerloo Line is the one who's had enough of your shit, Circle Line is just happy to be there, District Line is a Chav, Metropolitan Line is the sassy gay guy with a tramp stamp, Victoria Line is the old cougar woman and Jubilee Line is the drunken dirty party girl. The list goes on and on. CAN YOU TELL HOW MUCH FREE TIME WE HAD ON TRANSIT!? Once we started personifying the Tube things became awesome 8D
I'm pretty sure `tealpirate and I blessed each other with water and then sang A Whole New World. Later that night ~mistergleeson and I hid in *Valdrein's closet and screamed about how our parents were dead (Batman/Peter Parker lol).

Friday was our Wig Panel and Makeup Panel. Gotta say a huge thank you to everyone who came to our panels :3 It was the first time Nova and Val had run the makeup panel too so it was wonderful to see a full house for both panels! We're always trying to improve our panels so any feedback would be appreciated ;)
After the panel I met with an incredible artist named Di-San who I had asked to do a commission for me of my OC a while ago. To my surprise he had the picture of my OC as part of his prints for sale at his booth! I WAS BEYOND HAPPY SEEING THAT!!! PLUS he gave me a full-sized print for myself! I was so stoked about all of that I couldn't thank him enough.
Dressed as Kaito, Len and Gakupo from Vocaloid: Imitation Black we ran the Cosplay Auction with Jenn and Kelly. My God was that awesome. So much money was raised thanks to the charity of both the bidders and the participants and I couldn't have been happier with the enthusiasm of everyone involved. At one point Thor claimed that I grabbed her ass and, you know what, I agree! I GRABBED HER ASS! I AM NOT ASHAMED! But that was the first time we met Thor and Loki who were kickass awesome cosplayers and people :) Near the end of the Auction the staff member leading it pulled me aside and let me know that someone had asked her if we (FDP) would auction ourselves off cause he was willing to put down at least 50 pounds. We put ourselves up for auction and we sold for 100 pounds! Thank you so much to Mr. Yaoi for bidding on us and chatting/hanging out with us afterwards :) He was so nice and kind! He asked me to sign a poster he had bought from the artist alley and to my delight it was the print of my OC from Di-San! What are the chances!??!
Later that night we went to the slide and went Loki (the Wicked Witch of the West) around on the swing as Thor and I did Asguardian training by dropping to the ground to avoid her as she went around and around. We then went to try to go to the party but ended up just talking with people outside the con for a few hours. I REGRET NOTHING. I had so many good times that night including meeting two guys (won't say their names because I only know their real ones) who were having a hug competition. They turned out to be such bros and I'm so happy that I got to see them at our other panels :) The Swedes also taught us THE WORLD'S HARDEST GAME. It's like Twister but WAY HARDER and I nearly fell flat on my face XD

Saturday was Kingdom Hearts Day. We judged the Cosplay Contest and man were there so many amazing costumes!!!! I wish we could have given a prize to everyone because no participant failed to bring something incredible to the table with their costumes and performances. After the contest we went to our General Q and A/Kingdom Bros Episode Premier and I gotta say this panel was my favourite. I regret that we couldn't answer everyone's questions but at least we got to continue to talk with people outside for about an hour after our panel ended 8D You can watch the new episode of Kingdom Bros here: [link]
That night we just derped around the dorm and hid in more closets.

Sunday... WHAT CAN I EVEN SAY ABOUT SUNDAY. We had our Skits and CMVs panel which failed in terms of tech but a huge thanks to everyone at the panel for bearing with me XD We hung out with the Swedes over lunch, and what a wonderful group of cosplayers they were. So sweet, so fun to talk with... I only wish that we had been able to go for ramen with them like we had planned! After that we spent the rest of the day with Loki and our Irish girls (Lavi and Bolin, these peeps were so funny and amazing I can't even) Then that night was a party explosion. Went to the park with a BUNCH of people and did terrible things to that slide (in terms of safety and risk management). I got sent down headfirst. Someone got stuck and all we could hear was clanging... and then there was the swing that we took turns on. Myself and a few others took turns giving people super pushes 8D
The Bolin claimed a ship in the playpark where everything became Irish and then we headed off to the Final Countdown in 3 massive groups. My group sang "I'll Make a Man Out of You" as we walked and it counviently concluded when I found a pole and climbed to when the song hit that point where Mulan climbs the pole. IT WAS MAGICAL. Lavi took a photo ;)
We got to the dance and rocked out so hard that I was literally dripping with sweat and I soon had to adopt a disclaimer before anyone could touch me because.. God... you guys... I was abhorrently sweaty. Danced with so many groups of people I can't even... Danced in an epic interpretative manner with Jenn for one song that ended with me somehow mounting her and playing a blow up guitar... Got pulled into Conga lines... rocked Gungam Style by getting Loki to spread her legs so I could do pushups between them... danced in Kelly's Katara water... slow-danced with Becki and her beautiful limbs... Lavi and I took at least 50 photos together all of which I can only assume are just me looking like a greasy thumb. IT WAS GLORIOUS!!! BUT!!! I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO SORE IN MY LIFE!!!

After a wonderful dinner on Monday night with Connor and his family we flew back to Vancouver. Thank you so much to Connor and his family for having us Monday night :) that was a perfect way to end our trip!

This con was absolutely amazing. I wish I could list all the amazing moments in this journal but to be honest this journal has gone on long enough XD I really hope that we get to come back to Alcon! I don't know what I'll do knowing that I won't get to see any of you incredible people again for a long period of time :( I'd like to send a huge thank you to the Alcon staff for hosting us and for making our trip to Alcon happen! I'd also like to give a huge thank you to Parle for bro-ing around with us and hosting us :) A HUGE thank you to everyone who came to our panels, chatted with us, came up to say hi to us, gave us amazing gifts (SO MUCH CHOCOLATE *dies*)... you guys are all so wonderful and I'm missing you already! We have a lot of video footage from the trip so be on the lookout for an England trip/Alcon video on FDP's Youtube when I get around to uploading the camera files XD

Once again, thank you so much everyone!

(NOTE: I will be working my way through my messages! I'm behind, so it'll take me a while, BUT I SHALL BE VICTORIOUS!!! So I hope you can bear with me and can accept my apology for slow replies! D8)

Finally, my list of things I accidentally stole:
-Connor's sunglasses
-A pen from a really wonderful girl at our Skits and CMVs panel
It's been a crazy two weeks here in Vancouver for us XD We were guests at two of our cons in Vancouver which were on back to back weekends! It was a lot of fun but it's been cosplay-o-rama and con-o-rama none-stop for 2 (going on 3) weeks. Alcon will be our third con, so we're prepping and resting up for it so that we can show everyone the best time possible and have an absolute blast ourselves! Last year was amazing, this year is sure to be 100% better with :iconvaldrein: coming along. I'm so excited to see Parle and our friends from Alcon and Banzaicon again! I've missed you guys!!!!!!!!! Plus I can't wait to meet new people at Alcon this year ;) I'll watch the rain as I touch all your faces... and something about fire... I don't actually know the song I just use it out of context.

We're running a number of panels at the con, including one we're doing for the first time (Makeup Panel). We'll also be premiering Episode 3 of Kingdom Bros which is, for lack of a better word, terrifying. I REALLY HOPE NOBODY CRIES. It's a childhood ruiner... 8D
There's also the Late Night Panel, which was hilarious last year and will be that much better this year with Val there. And the Cosplay Auction... you know I honestly don't know what's gonna happen there BUT WE'LL MAKE IT WORTH YOUR WHILE. If all else fails I'll just strip.
Valdrein did her journal first, so I just copied and pasted then changed the formatting a bit so that it would look like I did the work myself, YOLO

We'd love to see you at our panels and events!!! 8D
Anime Revolution ended a few days ago and I'm still riding that con high! In my opinion it was a stellar con with a really clean and professional atmosphere/vibe. It was the con's first year, but to me it ran (and looked) like a much more experienced con. I've heard a lots of criticism of the con, but not from the people I ran into at the con itself. Everyone I came across seemed to be in really good spirits and had a positive opinion of the con. I know that there are some tensions are Vancouver cons at the moment, but in my opinion the more the better! I'm not going to side with one con or another, to me that'd be silly, I want all the cons to succeed cause if my hometown was con central than I'd never be bored!!! WHICH IS AWESOME!

I want to send a huge thank you to all of the people who attended our panels. They were all either full-capacity or over-capacity (like the Wig Panel, sorry to the people who had to sit in the aisle or stand in the back!). My only real issue with how the con was setup was the panel rooms, which were in the same space but separated by a curtain. This meant that, for most of the panels, either the first half or the second half was a war of microphone volume with the other panel that was operating. A HUGE thanks to "Name that Anime Tune" on Sunday for playing your music at a low enough level so that our panel wasn't interrupted. I thought that was a really rad thing to do and really respectful so thank you so much!

Cost for the con was rather high, so I'm speaking from a privileged position in that I didn't have to pay for my badge. I would, however, pay full price for the con next year if it came up. I really love the downtown venue, so I don't mind paying extra for it. I also really enjoyed the guest selection. The Sailor Moon voice actor group was really popular and a cool thing to get together for the con. Seeing and meeting That Guy With the Glasses was awesome because I love his work. And Jessica Nigri was also very popular and, as it turns out, is a very nice person :)

The dealers room and artist alley were really well set up, especially the one aisle that was set up like a Japanese festival!

Also, the AR staff were nothing but accommodating and polite to us. The only issue I had with staff were the convention centre staff who were frustrating at times but that's usually the case in convention centres (happens at Sakura Con too).

All in all my experience at Anime Revolution was a positive one, and I'm excited to see how the convention will grow considering the impressive first year. This was my experience, so disagreements are sure to come up, however I can only speak to what I experienced first hand and this is it :)

SWAG

Avatar Video: Blind Date Bending

This video is having one helluva time uploading! It was supposed to be up by noon, but many hours later... *le sigh* We filmed this at Anime Revolution while our friend who cosplays Sokka was up here :3 It was a ton of fun to film and quite the group effort considering that this video was the result of input from almost everyone who was hangout out with us during the filming XD I had a beginning planned... but no middle and end (TYPICAL LUKE) so a huge thanks to everyone who helped out!!! 8D

You can view the video here [link]
