So, Yuna's got her gash in the leg from Sora shoes, and now I've got a sora related injury too... AND I HAVEN'T EVEN COSPLAYED HIM!!!

Anyway, on Friday afternoon I was at HQ working on cosplays for the Halloween Town shoot the next day. I had just finished my keyblade (and named it "Full Moon" XD... ohhh werewolf cliches) and had figured out how to fit my ears onto my touque. So next I started styleing Uchihayuna's Halloween Town Sora wig.

I couldn't find the thinning scissors, so I used the heavy duty scissors instead. All was going dandy, and by dandy i mean i was watching SOAP OPERAS so i felt distiguished in a Desperate Housewives sorta way. Then kolibri came home and mentioned she had a present for me. I was cutting the side of Sora's hair at the time, and i looked up and cut without thinking. I saw something fly up and instantly went "oww"... then intense pain kicked in and i started screaming bloody murder and dove toward the bathroom over the couch, spilling needles and tripping over the couch as i went. Blood was all over my hand.

Without looking at the wound i ran it under the sink, and that hurt more than i could handle, and then i saw the cut. The top of my finger was gone. Im a huge medical phobe, anything blood/surgical related and i freak. So I went into shock, and kolibri came into the bathroom, saw the pool of blood on the floor, and first-aided me. We had to go to the doctor down the street, but i kept passing out on the way (being in shcok) so it was a hilarious 20 minute walk that should have been about 7 minutes... then we got there, i had water and regained full consiousness anddddddd we waited.

GOOD NEWS IS: finger will grow back and i gots ice cream after ^^

BAD NEWS IS: i was in intense hand pain yesterday... feels better now tho ^^ ANDDD i have to wear a finger condom-like mini-cast on my finger for 2 weeks or so... so unfourtunatly, in all the halloween town photos i have a huge index finger on my left hand, couldn't really shrink the size of the cast... havent seen how it looks in all the pics yet but i hope it doesnt look to stupid XD tried my best to hide it

Anyway! That's my weekend story ^^ the shoot was great aside from my finger-issues and being on lots of tylonel extra strengths. deserves much thanks and loves for organizing it ^_^ had to go through alot to make that photoshoot happen but it happened in the end and we got some great photos from it I think

STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM THE TURKEYS, they're the only animal stupid enough to domesticate themselves TAKE SOME PITY YOU BASTARDS! Not to mention have you ever thought about the life of a turkey??? HMMM??? They spend all the year being known as God's D student, then finally they get their time to shine, suddenly they're important and their little warble things can wiggle with pride!!! Then, they realize why they're being treated so well AND THE GET KILLED AND SERVED UP WITH A SIDE OF CRANBERRY SAUCE. Talk about a tourtured existance, like Van Gogh, turkeys are only appreciate AFTER THEY"RE DEAD.

Anyways, just a reminder to the people I've contacted about the kiriban wigs, I have to get confirmation from you before I order. With these wigs I'll be doing some styleing tutorials, so therefore, the first styleing tutorial will be for L.

I'm kinda bummed that I forgot to document a bit of the styleing of the new Sasuke wig, since i get the most questions about that wig. But Im sure it'll need a fixer-upper eventually and HOPE TO GOD i remember that time XD

I also figured it might be good to do an FAQ entry, since Im getting alot of duplicate questions and i'd be nice to group them together so I dont miss answering a bunch of them so if you have any questions you'd like me to answer with that, comment or note me so i can include them ^^

Anyways, Yaoi Con's over, and it was really fun, really laid back and really like one big meetup with a guy who steals money out of your pockey named Artist Alley Allen. I HATE THAT GUY. It was SO AWESOME to see and demonicgaara again, I MISS YOU GUYS ALREADY!!! Hanging out with Koi was awesomesauce as per usual and it was great to get to meet Okage Sama De as well. In fact we got to meet quite a few different groups this con, it was a really nice change

What wasn't nice you ask? 3 HOUR DELAY AND SNOREING LADY. But what was nice was AG's iron stomach and cosplay on the train... we shall save that for another time.

Considering how ridiculously fast my counter tends to go and how slow I am at Kiribans, it's time to start thinking about my 100 000, cause I want to do something super special for it

Anyways, because I've been getting alot of wig-help notes/comments and commission questions, I've decided to make my 100 000 prize exactly that. Plus uchihayuna and Kenshiro have done something like this for their strengths (sewing and prop making) so I figured that I'd do something with my one and only skill... WIGS!!!

AE's good and done, I'm exhausted and yet it feels like the con is still going somehow it's rather virus-like.

It was an ok con, not bad, not good, just ok. It was probabaly the most exhausting con I've been to, and everything went by in a blur.

Highlights:

- My Boy-wonder winning the walkoff!!! SPANDEX GETS YOU ANYWHERE
- winning the charity auction for Brad Swaile's paitning... because it bankrupted both of us XD
- OMG ITS RIFA winning the costume contest
- Meeting people from DA and Youtube. It was SO AMAZING talking to you guys, we loved it when you came to chat with us ^^
- Getting reconized in Skipbeat cosplay O__o

Downlights:

- Not meeting some people from DA and Youtube
- Loseing cellphone and running around in loops to find it
- Saturday night (it was quite a show)
- Not having enough to bid on an item I wanted (its was my own fault tho)
- Not buying anything from artist alley or dealers room, kept thinking "I'll have a chance to go back" but never did :S

Overall, Im looking foward to next year with the venue change ^_^

In other news, Yaoi-Con is in, like, A FEW WEEK (I KNOW RIGHT!?!) so getting to work on THOSE cosplays. On the docket for that con is:

WHEN THE FUCK did AE get so close??? Anyways, Im all (all is a lie, mostly is more like it) prepared for the con, managed to get all the wigs done (except a few of my own by I can do those last minute-y... I think) and all the costumes are nice and sewn and the props are finished. (another lie, I still need belts... I lie alot) Regardless I'm pretty excited about the con, it's all brand new (location wise) so it's just like going to a new con, I don't know what to expect XD

Anyway, because I keep realizeing how late my... was it 60 000? kiriban is, I've decided to change my plans a little. I'll be wearing my Kyuubi Naruto to AE, so I can FOR SURE take my kiriban photo once and for all *nods*. Plus Im a little sick of being Naru at cons, so I wanted to change it up a bit.

As a sidenote, I've been REALLY bad with replying and thanking watches. And by really bad I mean my inbox is a 4000 again T_T UNHAPPY!!! Hopefully I'll clear that out soon... hopefully XD

After much AE chaos, the con is back on, and we're all struggling to finish our cosplays before then XD As per usual, Im way behind.

Because of the chaos, we had to almost totally change our cosplay plans, meaning we got rid of our main cosplay, don't worry, we're planning to do it properly at a bigger con ^^

Currently, Im on wig duty, and the fumes and gluey atmosphere have given me what i THINK might be the black lung. But seriously, I hope everything gets done on time T_T

I've been holding off on posting about this for quite some time now, but it occured to me that the polite thing to do would be to let you guys know that the issue with the usage of my real name has gotten to the point where it IS bothering me.

Please do not use my real name. Even if you know it or know me personally. I have an internet/cosplay alias for a reason, and that reason is that I don't want my real name to be used if it can be avoided. There IS a reason that FDP refers to each other by their aliases online, its a privacy and curtosy thing.

I know some people use my real name for fimiliarity, but it has the exact opposite effect on me.

Anyways, Im not mad or pointing fingers of chastizing or anything, jut wanted to throw this out there, and just something to think about with other cosplayers on DA and youtube as well ^_^

So, looking at the vote on last Saturday (SHUT UP i know im late) Kyuubi Shippuden Naruto is the winner (kyuubi and Shippuden were neck and neck, so I just called it a tie ^^). But in other news, I've been having some family difficulty latley, which has been rather distracting. They're going on vacation (without me) so I'm hoping that a vacation will do them (and me) some good.

It was good to have the FDP meeting this weekend though, we made a few skits and I'm pretty proud of them all.

Avatar Day was this weekend! And a HUGE thanks to for making the day awesomely schmoogalling-er-tastic..... yes. It was so much fun. Pin the legs on Appa, volleyball, the FOUNTAIN!!! All amazing, thanks again to bramarb, a big flamio to you hotman XD

The only unfourtunate part was that we didn't get to use all the wonderful locations for photos, but at least we know how perfect Queen E. Park is for photos now *nods*... well, doesn't know, due to the blindness XD But by the end of the day she had pretty much memorized that RIDICULOUS uphill stair walk. And now I'm a pro at leading blind people!! (future profession?Seeing-Eye Twin?)

There were quite a few people who recognized us. We got stopped for photos 2 or 3 times, and as we passed the crowds we'd hear "Look, it's Aaang and Toph". Had NO CLUE that there were so many avatar fans

ODD DAY in a rather amuseing way. First off, I woke up and went looking for my class, only to hear that my class was downtown at Harbour Center, which meant that, with 15 minutes till class started to make a 45 minute commute, i was going to be late... so rather then go I went to Mr. Sub and drowned my remorse (MISSED CLASS ON NOES) in honey mustard...

SPEAKING OF FOOD turns out there's also no summer meal plan, so I have NO CLUE how I'm going to budget for eating!!! So far I've just been grabbing some food at wherever when my fox starts to grumble... AND I SEE NO REASON why that won't continue to work *nods*

Then there was work, and the hobo who lives in the alley beside my work came in for his bi-monthly bannana split. We have no clue how this guy manages to get the money for a bannana split, but somehow he does, and today was one of those days, and I had the grand luck of serveing him. And this is what he said to me " I want a bannana split, and I want the whores and the motorboat too" and then he looked at me laughing, as if expecting me to find that last part funny. So I pretended to laugh and started to scoop his ice cream. But he kept talking about his bannana split, and the "whores and the motorboat" am I missing something with that line? Or am I just not in on dementia speak? Anyway, he was rather hilarious, if not exeedingly creepy.

Then there was Amelia. She's an idiot. We were makeing ice cream for customers and suddenly she asks "do butterflies have hearts?". She was damn serious about the question and i told her that she was creepy so she turned to the customer and asked them. Then she ended up having a full blown conversation about butterflies, then her multiple birthday parties, then I got in trouble because I was so distracted by her ability to layer on the stupid. Did I mention she goes to talk to the alley hobo on her breaks? And she asked him to go rock climbing with her. I can't decide whether or not she's retarded.
