We're heading back into con season and I'm starting to get really pumped for this summer plans ;D but for now, it's time to re-cap out AMAZING trip to Australia! This is a late journal entry for sure, but there has just been so much going on since we got back that I figured that this had mind as well wait until I can give it some proper attention XD

I am so thankful to Gold Coast Film Festival for inviting us this year. It was an incredible expereince, and one that was really unlike any other con or event we've ever been to. I think what really hit me was being in a van with the other Film Festival guests (Lucas Till (Havoc from X-Men: First Class), Natalia Tena (Tonks from Harry Potter), Vic Mignogna and other actors while driving to Supanova's Dreamworld After Dark. I thought "here are some famous people, and we're included in their group... this is NUTS!". We also had a booth that we were stationed at for Supanova and I didn't notice until one of the staff at the booth told us that we actually had a huge line up of people that were waiting to come up and talk to us. A line-up!!! We were certainly kept busy for our 8 hour shifts at the Supanova booth and it was wonderful to get to meet so many people there. I was worried about being bored having to sit there all day but you guys DEFINITELY kept us entertained! Thank you!

Special shout out to our Australia crew! :iconradclawedraid:, :iconnewti:, :iconbjmac:, :iconsceleratus:, Louise (Bubbleberry) and Kee's boyfriend :D I really miss these guys and I wish SO MUCH that we had just one extra day in Gold Coast to just spend the whole day chilling with them. I miss them :(

Then I have to give such an enormous thank you to the staff of Gold Coast Film Festival for being a warm, loving, caring family. They treated us so well, there wasn't a moment where I didn't feel at ease there, despite all the stuff that was going on around us. Special shout out to Richard, who was one of the most hilarious people I've ever met and so very kind. To our drivers, who all worked so hard and who were all so amusing that every ride was a lot of fun! And of course to Casey, who is a huge supporter of cosplay, a wonderful person and who invited us to Australia in the first place!

Tuesday

I guess I should start this off by mentioning that we almost didn't get into Australia XD After landing at LAX we had a lengthy layover which went just fine until our airline called us up with 40 minutes before the plane boarded... we hadn't applied for Australian visas, I wasn't aware you had to, but we were suddenly in a rushed panic to get our Visas online. I was SHAKING. I was so fearful that we were going to be denied entry that I was physically shaking. After dealing with a woman who was really of no help we were called over by two Delta agents who calmly figured it all out for us.

Wednesday

DID NOT EXIST CAUSE OF TIME CHANGE... HAH!

Thursday

We arrived in Melbourne and thankfully found our driver right away. He was the cheeriest guy even, and on our 1 hour or so long drive to Gold Coast he basically did a summery of Australia for us XD Oddly enough his daughter was also a cosplayer! Although we never did get a chance to see her at Supanova...

We arrived in Gold Coast and were greeted right away by Casey, who gave us kickass swag bags! After settling into our hotel room (which was probably the fanciest hotel room I've ever been in XD) we met up with our Australia crew for a very delicious sushi lunch! After that we got changed into Ashitaka and San for the Red Carpet opening of the Gold Coast Film Festival!

We had never walked a red carpet before, so I gotta say we were both nervous about it with all of the cameras and lights everywhere. But we got on there and did a few poses and it went really well! Right after that we were stopped for a television interview, which is what's going on in this photo:

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

We met :iconnamikazesuzumaki: who was in Naruto cosplay at the event! She was the first cosplayer we met in Australia! It was wonderful to get to hang out with a fellow cosplayer there and I was so honoured that she came to the event to see us

We went to the premiere film of the festival, a movie called "Future Folk" which was really fun to watch. It was chalk full of original music and really fresh and fun humour.

We got back in the van to go back and actor Tony Todd (from Final Destination and Candyman) got into a conversation with us about cosplay. Turns out that he's really interested in it XD

Friday

Friday morning was our first section of free-time, so we woke up early to enjoy the nearby beach with ~bjmac, *RadClawedRaid and Bubbleberry. The waves were HUGE and I got cocky at one point and swam out a little. I got caught in a riptide and found myself pretty far out. Scary moment when you swim madly to shore and realize that you're not getting any closer XD I must have gotten myself out of the rip and I arrived back on shore exhausted. Then then I went back in with Bubbleberry and we had a great chat while giant attack waves threw us around in the water.

We went back to the hotel and changed into Link and Zelda from Skyward Sword. Before we left we took some photos with our crew, including ~bjmac was was cosplaying Pippit!

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

We then went to our interview with the incredibly talented and wonderful Maria Lewis ([link]. The interview went really well. A familiar face, ~NamikazesUzumaki was in the audience and at the end of the interview two cosplayers who were in the audience asked for a hugs XD very chill and fun interview indeed :)

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

After the interview we headed to the premier of "My Other Me: A Film About Cosplayers". It was a really fun night :)

Saturday

This was our first day at Supanova Expo! We were at the con by 10am dressed as Flynn and Rapunzel (Tangled). We sat down at the Gold Coast Film Festival booth next to Lucas Till and Jason Trost from "All Superheroes Must Die". At first I was really worried. next to these two big name actors and I figured we just be sitting there doing nothing...
But as soon as the doors opened a lot of people came up to us to chat and it was incredible!!!

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

The day went by in an amazing blur of meeting people from all over and seeing so many amazing cosplayers. I started to lose my voice because I talked to people so much XD

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

We left the con and went back to the hotel to prepare for our performances at Supanova After Dark at Dreamworld, and then we went downstairs and loaded into a van with all the other guests who were performing there.

This was a crazy ass van ride.
The traffic was really thick so we ended up getting there kinda late. We arrived at the theme park and a bunch of the actors ran off into the bushes and started peeing. It was so bizarre to witness a bunch of famous people pissing right in front of you.

Nova and I prepped for our skits. I was REALLY nervous because line memorization is not something I'm good at. Improv I can do, but since this skit was so script involved I really had to buckle down. We were on last, right after Vic Mignogna, so there was a lot of anxiety on my behalf just waiting to start performing.

The skits went perfectly. We didn't mess up once and once I got performing everything just poured out smoothly and I was totally at peace and comfortable. You can see our skits here: [link] [link]

After we finished the skits there was a spontaneous dance party with all the people who came up to see us afterwards and this was AWESOME!!!! OMFG all I remember was Gangnam Style and Venga Boyz coming on and then we all just started dancing.

When that was over we had a little time to try some rides, so with a group of people (:iconjinx-2: and :iconbreezecodi: and many others who's DA names I don't have!) we went on The Claw (BEST RIDE EVER) a flippy ride and a spinny ride. I felt really bad having suggested the spinny ride though because one of our friends got ill on that ride :( ALL MY FAULT!!!! D8 She was okay, thankfully, and at that point the park was closing so we went back to find the GCFF staff who were chaperoning us and we drove back. This ride back was so much fun I don't even.

Sunday

Sunday morning was the Cosplay Parade, which was a really big and really well received event by the public! We went as Sora and Riku (Kingdom Hearts) and marched with the Gold Coast Film Festival contingent!

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

The parade lead to Supanova Expo so when we got there we were escorted back into the exhibition room to the Gold Coast Film Festival table. This morning was much quieter. We went for lunch with the crew:

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

After lunch a bunch of people arrived and we were kept company for the rest of the day by visits from awesome Aussies

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

After a while everything just bacame trolling and once again I almost lost my voice from talking so much. BUT I JUST COULDN'T STOP!!!! XD Had so many fun conversations with people and had so many wonderful moments. We got heartfelt cards from people, artwork, CANDY, Tim Tams, and we also got stuffed animals from three sisters who we so sweet and wonderful

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

We also got to meet a lot of people that we have known via the Internet for a while! That's always really cool, to get to meet someone in real life :3

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

The con was incredible. And it was intensely hard to leave :( Thank you so SO MUCH to everyone who dropped by to say hi, chat with us, take photos with us, let us take photos with them, and just generally everyone who welcomed us to Australia! I wish I could have mentioned everyone that we met by name in this journal but this this is already LONG ENOUGH I'm sure. I feeeeeel like I may have written a novella here XD

Thank you Australia!!! We miss you!

First off, WOW. Thank you guys so much for the amazing support on my newly opened wig commissions. In less than 24 hours I had filled all of my slots. I am still accepting commissions though! There's just a bit of a lineup. And you never know some people may drop out so I will keep things going as swiftly as I can :)

NOW! On to Banzaicon! This con re-cap is LONGGG OVERDUE! But April was just such a whirlwind month for us.

Banzaicon was even more amazing than it was last year, which was hard to do because last year was PRETTY DAMN AMAZING. This con has one of the best staff that I have encountered at cons. Everyone really truly cares about the quality of the con and the enjoyment of all of the attendees. It blows me away each year when I see their committment and philosophy around Banzaicon. And let's not forget the attendees!!! EVERYONE IS SO WONDERFUL AND SO WELCOMING!!! You guys all make this con as awesome as it is :) thank you so much for having us! <3

Thursday

We boarded out plane Wednesday morning from Vancouver ad arrived Thursday morning (mindddfuccckkk). One of the convention organizers, Kris, was there waiting for us and he drove us to the hotel. Now it gets interesting... :iconvaldrein: wasn't due to arrive until a few hours after us, and we haven't spoken to her about what the plan was. I just assumed that they would know to look for Kris, which was a strange assumption on my part since SHE HAS NEVER MET KRIS XD Thankfully, by some luck, *Valdrein had caught the same plane as :iconnickshishli: from Copenhagen and they arrived together. Kris eventually found *Valdrein and they drove back to the hotel where we were tearfully re-united with our bro who has been away in Finland for a few months for school.

Walking up to the hotel we met :iconcaptainimaginary:, :iconcecelin0: and :iconlivewihtstyle: (THE SWEDES! 8D) and as a group we all went out for questionable Asian cuisine and then ventured off on dangerous rock climbing adventures on the Norwegian coast

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Later that night we all went to the con venue to visit the staff while they were setting up. Then we went to bed to sleep off the jet-lag and prepare for the next day.

Friday

Because *Valdrein was living in another country, we had to film our Norwegian CMV in separate sections. :iconvandorwolf: and I had filmed a little less than half of the clips in Vancouver with the help of :iconsaiaphi:, but we needed to film the finishing scene and all of *Valdrein and *NickShishli's scenes Friday morning in Norway.

Thankfully *CaptainImaginary volunteered to film for us last minute because ONCE AGAIN I FAILED IN TERMS OF THINKING AOUT LOGISTICS OF PLANS! XD

We all ventured onto the cliffs near out hotel again, and we made *Valdrein as Merida climb lots of shit and *VandorWolf and I as Rapunzel and Jack Frost walked around barefoot... in freezing weather XD At one point I walked on ice for a shot. I became a true resident of the north that day XD

The finished CMV can be seen here! [link]

After we wrapped on the CMV we changed into Tony Stark, Lady Loki and Lady Thor  and went to the con for the opening and to run our first panel, "Search for the Next Avanger". This panel was so much fun, Thank you so much to everyone who came!! And I was so happy that the audience actually wanted to participate because we had no backup plan if no one had wanted to enter XD YOLO

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

After the panel we hung around with lots of awesome peeps. An awesome Merida cosplayer, who we had met the year before, gave me an apple and it was DELICIOUS!!! I ate the crap outta that apple.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Then we did an interview for :iconyushku:'s school project 8D

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

That night we went back to the hotel early so that I could edit the CMV for the next day. It took me about 4 hours, but we got it done!

Saturday

This was Big Four day, we were dressed as Jack Frost, Merida and Rapunzel and first thing in the morning was out Crossplay panel! So much thanks to everyone who came to this early panel, the room was full and I honestly thought there'd be no one there because of all the awesome dance party action the night before ;D Thank you!

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Soon after was the Q&A Panel where we screened the CMV. I LOVED the reaction of the crowd when we started the CMV and they heard the song we'd chosen. It was essentially a really notorious song in Norway, almost exactly like how "Call Me Maybe" is here. Everyone groaned, and then I heard a bunch of people singing along XD

*Valdrein and *CaptainImaginary were judging for the cosplay contest, so we watched it and then we all went for dinner in a big ground in between the contest and the final judging.

We hung out with a group of people in a hallway for a while just making faces and generally being.. this:

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
and that Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

We went to the rave for a little while and I was greeted by a gang of fellow Jack Frosts doing a crab-like mating dance at me which was FREAKING AMAZING. But because out costumes were not rave-friendly and because we were still short on sleep we left the rave early to get some sleeeeeepppp :3

Sunday

This was Blue Exorcist day (Rin, Mephisto and Amaimon). We arrived at the con for a massive Cosplayer Q&A Panel which was a lot of fun. But I quickly realized that my tail kept grabbing people's legs and lifting girl's skirts. It became an issue XD When I went to walk off the stage *CaptainImaginary had to help me get the chair off my tail CAUSE I WAS TAKING IT ALL WITH ME XD

We met a Yukio cosplayer (:iconpokegirl5:) and completed out brotherhood

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Then we ran out wig panel which was really full. Thank you so much to everyone who came!! And a huge thanks to the staff who got us some extra chairs for the audience!!! And huge thanks to the audience members who helped me navigate the Norwegian language version of Powerpoint XD

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

We went to closing ceremonies, had lots of tearful goodbyes with people (always so hard to leave :() and then we returned to the hotel.

That night we found the ghost of the Wissilioff Hotel and pranked back and forth with the Swedes until 2am.At one point I almost jumped off a balcony. Nothing was ok but everything was beautiful that night.

Monday

On Monday we had a mystical picnic with some of the guests and staff of Banzaicon on the cliffs.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

After saying out goodbyes to the Swedes and some of the staff we headed off with Hanowara and Theriza to :icontheriza:'s cabin IN THE WOODS >8D It was a night of trying to read Norwegian, delicious chicken nachos, a very disturbing Pony Game and drinking Norwegian alcohol and being kicked in the face by it:

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

The next day we woke up and drove back to Larvik where we met up with Kris and Eirik and went SWIMMING >8D We tried to fight the orbital wave making ball.
Then we all went for pizza, got Banzaicon shirts (YES!) and said out goodbyes to everyone.

It was an amazing con. Thank you so much for everyone who came to talk to us, came to out panels and generally just made this an amazing weekend for us. WE MISS YOU GUYS D: Here's hoping we'll be able to come back to Norway sometime in the future. And hey! Hope I might get to see some of you at Alcon this September too!

We're back from Australia and before I begin posting my con journals from this month I have an announcement to make!!! Some of you may already know about this since it was announced a little while back, but because it was in the middle of a few cons for us I wanted to wait to make a formal announcement to give the con the attention that it deserves :)

:iconvandorwolf: and I have been invited to Animethon this August in Edmonton, Alberta!

This is a con that we have considered going to for years since it's in our neighbooring province of Alberta, but Canadian distances being what they are we never managed to make it work. Thankfully this year Animethon extended and invitation to us, and I am thrilled and honoured that we are getting a chance to go!

We'll be doing a lot of panels at this con, and they'll all be new and improved ;D Hope that you guys can make it if you live near Edmonton!
I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone there :3 it's about time we got to meet and hang out with our Alberta neighboors!

The con is August 9th-11th at the Grant McEwan City Centre Campus in Edmonton, Alberta

Info as well as registration can be found on Animthon's website:

Saturday: Robin/Tim Drake (Teen Titans (90's))
Sunday:Rick (The Walking Dead)

Who else is going to ECCC? If you want please comment and let me know what you will be cosplaying (if you are cosplaying) so that I know who to keep my eyes peeled for :3 and of course, as usual, please do not hesitate to say hi if you see me! I loving meeting knew people and chatting with old friends :) that's what cons are for!!

See you there ;)
We can finally put up our big announcement that we've been dying to, well, ANNOUNCE! We'll be returning to BANZAICON in Larvik Norway this year! And in addition we'll have :iconvaldrein: with us this year as well!
We've been sitting on this info for quite some time and just got the go ahead to announce it today, it's been tough keeping this from you Banzaicon peeps!

Banzaicon (Larvik, Norway) April 5th-7th
[link]

Hope to see you guys there!!! 8D We're STOKED that we get to return to Norway and we have a lot of new and exciting stuff planned for you guys ;)

You can see our little announcement video for the con here ;)
[link]

And with that I'm off to do more catch up work because, once again, I've fallen terribly behind D8
LONG TIME NO POST EH? Sorry about the absence, it's been a little busy over the past few months and I haven't had too much to post about anyway XD But some new stuff has come up as of late so hereeeeee we go!

GIVEAWAY

After looking for a few things in my closet today I pulled out some old costumes and realized that I don't fit them anymore. Most notably Kuja and Davis ^^; In the case of Davis I can't even get the jacket over both shoulders XD I've decided to give this stuff away, so my Kuja wig and my Davis cosplay (jacket and shorts) are up for grabs in a contest via my Facebook page: [link]

Just share the link! Contest ends Tuesday Jan 29th :3

Emerald City Comic Con

Some of us will be at Emerald City Comic Con in March! I just bought tickets so I'm excited that plans for this con are actualizing :) Not 100% sure on cosplay plans yet, that'll come a bit closer to the date.

One thing about this con is that it comes 2 weeks after a rather intensive surgery I am having, so I'm not sure how mobile I will be at the con. I'm hoping that I'll be in good enough shape to really enjoy the con, but nevertheless it will be amazing to get to see hang out with good friends at ECCC :) really looking forward to it as fun times and a new experience con-wise!

Arcade Con 2013 REGISTRATION IS OPEN!

Nova and are coming to Arcade Con (Dublin, Ireland) this summer! Pre-registration opened a little while back, so if you haven't pre-regged yet you can do so here: [link]

Annnddd I think that's about it for now! *rolls away*
Many of you already know this since the announcement was made before we went to N2U, but we were invited to attend Arcade Con 2013 as guests this summer! We absolutely cannot WAIT to visit Ireland, meet (or reunite with since we've met a few of you ;) ) our Irish peeps and experience an Irish con. All very exciting AND VERY IRISH CONSIDERING I JUST SAID IRISH OR IRELAND 3 TIMES IN A SINGLE SENTENCE.

The con will be held July 5th-7th 2013 at the BallsBridge Hotel in Dublin, Ireland

We'll be holding panels (including some new panels for 2013 that we're currently working on, gotta keep it fresh!!), premiering a new episode of one of our series or a CMV and generally just hanging out at the con. I think I also told one person that we were going to slow dance into the moon SO WE'LL BE DOING THAT TOO. All for the sake of science.

Their pre-reg and updated website will be up soon (I'll post when it goes up as well ;)) but for now you can check them out on Facebook: [link]
This is a rather late journal, as N2U was 2 weeks ago XD but better late than never! N2U was a blast :) it's a smaller con, but smaller cons usually means more intimate experiences and that's exactly what N2U was. We made lots of fast friends and saw most people more than once so I feel like we really got spend time with people at this con which was awesome :)

I would like to give a huge thanks to the staff who all worked their asses off to make the con happen and who were all extremely welcoming and kind to us :) Special thanks to our guest liaison, :iconcult-clueless: who made sure that we were taken care of in all respects

Thursday:

We arrived late Thursday night and were greeted at the aiport by Naru, the con chair, and *Cult-Clueless. They had brought us both bouquets of flowers and chocolate truffles! What an awesome welcoming party! We were pretty damn impressed by that :3

After checking in we went to bed because by that time it was about 1am XD

Friday:

We explored the section of Ottawa we were in before the con started. After walking around the area we found a breakfast place and ate there. It was all pretty relaxing. Then we went back to the hotel and changed into out Naruto cosplays and prepared for our panel. On the way to opening ceremonies we met a number of awesome folks (:iconimspiritb:, :icontsukune:, :iconderangedspazz: and many others who's DA's I have not found yet!). After the opening ceremonies was out first panel, the Wig Panel, which went extremely well :) a huge thank you to everyone who came and asked questions and dealt with my crazy diamond of a laptop

We spent our time after the panel chatting with people and taking photos. Everyone was so friendly! 8D

Saturday:

Saturday was Avatar day, so I had to wake up around 5am to shave my head 100% bald and then paint on my arrows and lines. It look a lot less time than expected, so I spent the rest of the morning putting hairspray on myself to ensure that the paint wouldn't come off XD
We headed to out morning panel, which was way busier than I was anticipating considering it was so early XD

In between we met up with :iconcult-clueless:, :iconzehsexiiroxas: and :iconzozoblackiechan: who were cosplaying fire nation Katara, Sokka and Zuko for a photoshoot. Along the way we stalked/ran into an awesome Toph, :iconyume456:, and her equally as awesome friend who was cosplaying Lucy from Elfen Lied. :iconeverage: and :iconhenrickson: were kind enough to take photos for us. It was VERY cold!!! I can't believe that any of us survived that without frostbite on out toes because we all had out shoes off XD

We ran out second panel and it went VERY well. We premiered "The GAang" and I embarrassed myself on stage: [link] Thank you guys so much for participating and being an all around awesome audience. I had a lot of fun at out panels :)
At one point an adorable Haku and San from Spirited Away asked for a photo from us and passed the camera to Harley Quinn (:iconauthenticem:) who got in a war of attrition with the camera. This girl was awesome, and her + technology became the running gag of the con XD We also met up with a fantastic Death the Kid cosplayer who was on an exchange from Germany, she was so sweet!

After the panel the talented :iconhenrickson: did another shoot with us. We tried the pool but couldn't do much, so we went back outside and took a few photos :) by the end of it I had to admit I was shaking with cold (I didn't have a shirt on!!!). But I wanted to take photos with a Chii Blocker who helped us out with the shoot so I pushed past the shaking cold which ultimately gave me a cold. BUT IT WAS WORTH IT!!! >8D

After that was the Masquerade. So many awesome entries! The winner of Best in Show was a spot on Effie Trinket cosplayer who went to the max for her character. She had multiple handmade Effie costumes for the con.
*Cult-Clueless took us for dinner and then we came back to the con and met up with :iconcosplaycanada: who was dressed as Slenderman and had bought me PIE for my Dean Winchester cosplay. THIS WAS THE BEST THING EVER!!! We filmed a skit concluding our Dean vs. Slenderman skit ([link]). Along the way we pulled in some willing actors including an adorable Kite and Sora cosplayer and my favourite female Deadpool ever :iconelectricvisuals: (this girl was a natural at improv, so fantastic to work with her!). The skit will be up in the next few weeks ;)

Sunday:

Sunday was Kuroshitsuji day. We had a lot more free time this day, and we mostly spent it winding down and chatting with people which was wonderfully relaxing.

We did out final panel which went very well and we said a fond farewell and a huge thank our to everyone who had attended out panels over the weekend. I wish I could give shoutouts to all of the wonderful people we talked to, but this journal is long enough as it is (believe me it's been hard to choose what to include and what not to! If I wasn't being selective here we'd be here all day XD). We miss you guys :(

N2U was an awesome convention. We really enjoyed the people, the setting and the mood of the con. It was very unique, specifically with how close and familiar everyone seemed to be (tight knit community I guess you'd call it XD). I really hope that we will be able to return to a con in the Ontario/Montreal area sometime soon!!! We met so many welcoming, hilarious and friendly people that I can't imagine never seeing them again. Our time there was far too short :(

Here's to the good times at N2U! Thank you for having us!

It's finally time to start announcing our plans for N2U (considering that we leave for Ottawa in 3 days XD). SO STOKED!! Please come see us at the con, we would love to meet everyone and if you do see us please PLEASE don't hesitate to say hi! We're at the con to meet people and put on some panels for you guys, plus this might be our only opportunity to visit Ontario!

"The GAang", a new series about the Avatar gang, will be premiered on Saturday at our FDP General Q&A panel (Noon-1:30pm)

As for the cosplays we're bringing we asked you guys what you wanted to see, and the highest voted cosplay was Naruto so we're busting out those cosplays for N2U! We're also bringing Kuroshitsuji because it was within the top few voted cosplays as well and we've never really done it formally over the years that we've had the wigs and the costumes XD

Cosplay Schedule

Friday- Naruto (Naruto Shippuden)
Saturday- Aang (Avatar: Book 3)
Sunday- Sebastian (Kuroshitsuji)

Panel Schedule

Friday- FDP Cosplay Wigs (8pm-9pm)
Satuday- FDP Filming for Youtube (10am-11am), FDP General Q&A (Noon-1:30pm)
Sunday- FDP Cosplay Groups (2:30pm-3:30pm)

In between panels we'll be roaming around the con seeing the sights and socializing :) Hope you'll join us!
I had noticed that our subscriber count on the FDP Youtube ([link]) account was getting close to hitting 80,000 last week but I figured that we had until after N2U before that happened. Yesterday I logged into the FDP Youtube account and realized (after a while because I'm always the last horse to cross the finish line XD) that we had hit 80,000!!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!! According to a 2005 census the city of Yalta has a population of 79, 982... THEREFORE, if we were ever challenged to a square dance by the city of Yalta WE COULD PAIR UP SORTA EVENLY 8D
But seriously... I love you guys. You've given us so much support whether it's through comments, drawings/gifts, notes, favourites/likes/retweets/reblogs, coming up to us to say hello at cons and even going out of your way to ask your local cons to invite us as guests... if I think about it for too long it blows my mind. It's incredible to me that there are people out there who like what we do and who we are. We make videos/cosplay for the entertainment it brings you guys as well as the fun it brings to us. SYMBIOTIC RELATIONSHIP (I think... not sure cause Bio was never my forte). This isn't about profit, we'll never ask you for a dime for ourselves. As I always say to people who ask why we don't take donations for the group: that's your money to spend on your enjoyment, you guys shouldn't ever be expected to pay for someone else's fun. The sheer honour of having one person like our work is payment enough for us. And I know I use the word honour a lot, but that's really what it is, it's an absolute honour and I am humbled and deeply moved.
I never thought I'd be here. Especially me, the one with mediocre/lazy sewing skills, a speech impediment that can make acting/public speaking difficult, very little artistic skill to speak of and general average-ness... how did this happen? Not a clue. But the experience has thus far allowed me to meet and talk to more amazing people from all over the world than I can count. I can't thank you guys enough for your support over the past five years and I hope for your continued support as we bring out new cosplays, new episodes, new skits, new CMVs and new shows from fimiliar and un-fimiliar series'. We're constantly trying new things, so thank you for staying with us through the things that work as well as the things that don't work.
We appreciate you guys more than I can even express. I wish we had filmed a special thank you video in advance, but with any luck we'll be making one at Aki Con this weekend ;)
But, for now, thank you guys SO MUCH.
Please accept my face as a thank you gift for now

Aki Con

SHE APPRAOCHES! AND SHE IS A CREUL MISTRESS. But not really because Aki Con is our sweet fair lady from Washington state that never fails to please us year after year ;) I'm really looking forward to meeting some new people this year and of course meeting up with old friends again. I don't get to see my American peeps enough D: obvious answer is to burn down the Peace Arch.
If you guys see me around the con please don't hesitate to come say hi! I know I always say this but it's always true! I go to cons to talk with people and hang out!!!

My Aki Con cosplay lineup is:
Thursday- Undecided
Friday- Mako (Legend of Korra)
Saturday- Terra (Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep)
Sunday- Robin (Tim Drake- Teen Titans)
*** Also will likely bring Dean Winchester to lounge around in

See you guys there!!! If you're going let me know what you're cosplaying ;) (if you are cosplaying that is XD THERE I GO! ASSUMING ALL OVER THE PLACE)

N2U (Nov 16th-18th, Ottawa, Ontario)

Nova and I will be attedning N2U as guests and we can't WAIT to get to meet everyone and to experience a con at the other side of the country! We'll be posting more about our cosplay lineup, panels, premiere and perhaps another extra special surprise a little bit later. There will also be an announcement video for the con going up in the next few weeks once we can confirm... something... MWAha 8D

And I think that's about all for now!!! 8D
Aang for a Cure/"The GAang"

After about a week of struggling to get the promo video for our Aang for a Cure fundraiser filmed I finally did it!!! In addition, I also briefly mentioned that the shaving of my head for Aang for a Cure will be tied in with the beginning of a series we're calling "The GAang". Since we couldn't start filming it before I had a shaved head, I figured that we'd mind as well combine the two events together!

The video can be seen here: [link]

Aki Con (Oct 26th-28th, Bellevue, Washington)

[link]

Aki Con quickly appraoches!!! I'm getting pretty pumped for the con that is usually the bro-con of the year! Looking forward to seeing old friend again for the weekend and getting to meet many new people as well (I hope!). I'll be updating next week with my cosplay schedule for Aki Con, because I'm hoping by then I'll have the wigs that I need to do a certain cosplay for sure. The only cosplay I can say that I'm bringing with utmost certainty at this point is Mako XD CAUSE HE'S DONNNEEEE.

N2U (Nov 16th-18th, Ottawa, Ontario)

We'll be posting more about our cosplay lineup, panels, premiere and perhaps another extra special surprise (;)) at little bit later. There will also be an announcement video for the con going up in the next few weeks once we can confirm... something... MWAha 8D
Anyone out there from Ontario? More specifically Ottawa? Because Nova and I have been invited as guests to N2U in Ottawa, Ontario! We're thrilled to go and see all of the folks at the other side of Canada that we thought we'd never see! I can't wait to meet everyone, run some panels for you guys, premiere a new video ;) (more on that coming soon!), take photos, chat, hang out-- It's going to be a BLAST! We've never been to a Canadian convention outside of BC before, this is a first!

Nova and I also wanted to do something extra special for you guys at N2U. We're going to be bringing Avatar to N2U, but that will be the only new cosplay we're wearing. The other two days we're leaving up to you guys! What do YOU want to see us cosplay again? You can suggest whatever you like here: [link]

The con is November 16th-18th, and you can pre-reg online at [link] until October 15th!

All info about N2U can be found at their website: [link]
I recorded a Hunger Games parody of "Boombox" as a surprise for my friends for the midnight showing of the movie last year. At the time I tried making a music video/lip dub for it but failed horribly because at the time we had no tripod and I had no one around to help me so whatareyougonnadoooo. Recently we got a new tripod (YAYYYY) so I decided to take another shot at it. The result it this:

[link]

I know, I know, I'm a bad singer. But I really like working with Garage Band to make parody songs, so it's something I want to keep trying my hand at. And hey! Maybe my voice will get better over time?? (LIES)
But who am I kidding I'm trying to improve on everything XD editing, acting, sewing, craft, theoretical physics... 4 years later and I'm still learning, forever learning! 8D

Anyway, hope you guys enjoy! We like to switch up our genre/style and series focus a lot so this is just something else that's new!

Also, don't forget to take a look at our current fundraiser Aang for a Cure!!! A video detailing that further will be up on Youtube this week ^_^

Hello everyone!

I've been thinking for the last month or so about FDP's next charity event. It's been a while since Nova's Pray for Japan campaign (relief for tsunami victims) and I figured that it might be time for another project.

I've been talking for years about shaving my head to cosplay Aang. He's my favourite character in The Last Airbender, and although I've cosplayed him before that was a while ago (aka I'm not satisfied with that costume XD). To kick my ass into gear to do this, I've decided to shave my head for cancer research. Shaving off hair for cancer fundraisers is a pretty common thing to do, but this time there's a twist… when you make a donation of any size to any cancer society (I've provided links to some major ones, but feel free to donate to any local organizations or organizations in your country that I may have missed!) reply to this message and include 1) Where you made a donation to 2) Who you want to shave Aang's head: Sokka, Zuko, Azula, Katara or Toph.

On November 5th whoever you guys picked will shave my head in an Avatar video :)

And please keep in mind that this is on the honour system! I'm not making a separate donation site because I feel like this way you guys KNOW that your money is going to charity on not to us or anyone else. So, if you're able to help out and if you know who want to see shave Aang, please donate to one of the linked cancer society donation pages OR donate to your local cancer society!

[link]

[link]

I think that most of us have someone in their lives who is affected by cancer, thank you so much for donating to a good cause :) even if you can't donate, you can help out by posting about this! Thank you!
