Young Avengers- Hawkeye and Speed by twinfools Young Avengers- Hawkeye and Speed by twinfools
We cosplayed Young Avengers to Anime Evolution with :iconvaldrein: and :iconheimdalll-san: and although our costumes ended up being unfinished we had a fantastic time!

I for one didn't do the orange triangle pointing to the crotch (because seriously... wtf) and the wig I used was too long for my liking so I'll end up cutting it for next time.

Nova's fabric was either a bad batch or wasn't the right choice for the costume because it kept ripping and tearing. She had to abandon the gloves and didn't finish the details because of the rush we ended up being in for AE. But we go to wear these with our friends so that's all that matter. We also did a skit for Young Avengers which will be up soon(ish) ;D

Myself as Speed (Tommy)
:iconvandorwolf: as Hawkeye (Kate)

Looking good! :D
What kind of bow is it Nova has, and is it actually useable? Or is it merely some kids toy that looks cool? XD
I'm looking for a new bow for my archery, and it looks cool (and slim!) so I'm kinda interested in if it's any good xD

[sorry to shove in here and comment my darlin' Kate ].

I lent Nova that bow. It's a fully functional practice bow for beginners around that size, but if you're looking to actually train in archery, I recommend getting measured for an actual bow. This one looks great for a prop, if that's all its needed for, but not for shooting at a progressive.

You can see the size difference to hers and the one I have [which I actual shoot with] for my Clint, in the picture I posted of our Hawkeyes on my page.

If you have any other questions, let me know! - Lux

Haha, I already have a bow that fits decently, I'm just looking for a new, slightly better one for when I reach that point.. :)
but if it's just a beginners bow, it's not of interest I'm afraid :-/
But I'll have a look at your bow - who knows, it might be cool too xD

Just out of curiosity, what draw weight are you shooting with? :D

I shoot a 35# currently.
My bow is a fully custom Hoyt Horizon Blackout 72in. :] Not cheap in the slightest, and not beginner, but definitely one I'm happy with for the time being.

Aw... Custom made bows.. ;_; If only I could have something like that XD
Do you know of Falco bows? They seem pretty good, although they only deal in longbows (why are there no recurves in wood?!).
Meeh, and so my search continues :D

You can actually get GREAT wood recurves, if they're hand made and not a brand. My mom even has one ^^,

Hand made? As in, your mum made it by hand, or as in she payed someone to do it by hand? :P
If it's the latter, is it someone that takes orders? Could I perhaps get a name/website/anything to go on? :D
I'm getting all excited now :3

Sorry for the late responses, DA isn't my usual 'hangout' spot xD
