How are you even able to cosplay as them? They dress like normal people. With the exception of colored contacts, there's nothing to indicate who you're dressed as. No one's going to know who you're supposed to be unless you come out and say it. First looking at the picture, all anyone would tell is "oh, a guy and a girl at a table". Only after reading the title does anyone go "Oooooh, THAT'S who they're supposed to be."

That's not cosplay.

... Okkkkk it's just for fun, actually, Definitely not a "con" cosplay. And I don't cosplay for people to know who I am anyway. You see people cosplay their original characters all the time, and that IS cosplay. I don't take my Edward cosplay seriously, but by saying it's not cosplay then, by your logic, neither are most school uniform cosplays with normal hair, such as Shinji (EVA) or Sousuke (Full Metal Panic) and Yuki (Gravitation) or Light (Death Note). Chill out.

No, I'm really asking: how are you supposed to cosplay a character that dresses normally? Twilight fans can't seem to answer that and I figured you might know.

School uniforms are one thing. They're worn regularly and are easily recognizable for the character.

But a lot of Twilight fans speak of how they make a cosplay for one of the characters from the book when most of the characters dress like average everyday teens. The only cosplay I could think of is Bella in her red dress once she becomes a vamp because she goes to great lengths to describe it. But how is anyone really supposed to know without it having to be explained to them?

It's not a matter of clothes for Twilight, it's a matter of appearance. Edward is described as being well dressed, so anyone can take that description and discern what they should wear. At first I chose my brothers dress shirt and the least slack guy jeans I had (because really, we decided to do it at my house on a random whim) and the second time i did it I chose a sweater vest and brown pants...

The only important thing about twilight are the WIGS (or hair). Edward is described as having copper hair (thus i found a LITERALLY copper wig) and Bella is described as having waist length auburn-ish hair, so my Bella ended up finding a wig like that.

It's like cosplaying from a black and white manga scan, you don;t know the real color scheme, but you make it up the best you can. Same with casual cosplays, you don't have a VISUAL of what the character is supposed to look like, so you make it up according to the descriptions.

I'm not a fan of Twilight, and I wouldn't have even posted photos of this cosplay except that I love the wig I bought for it so much.

How did you prepare/get your wig like that?! I was planning to cosplay Edward as well for Halloween and I have the gold contacts but I'm a bit stuck on the hair aspect...so I was wondering if you can tell me where you got your wig or whatever :D Thankies!
