Sorata Arisugawa

When I was first getting into anime, I was at Virgin Records with my Dad and I came across a lone anime DVD. It was the first disc of X/1999, and I got my Dad to buy it for me. It was my first "adult" anime. I watched shows like Digimon/Pokemon and also Escaflowne and Gundam Wing. But X was completely different. I still remember my mom's expression when she saw Karen's first scene where she is introduced clearly as a prostitute. Now I can plainly see why she suspects that anime is secretly perverted porn...

I didn't think much of Sorata at first. But his character really drew me in the second time I watched the series. His relationship with Arashi is probably one of the most unique and most touching in all the series I've seen.

I also want to add that this costume was SO COMFY.
