I remember in the fall of my fourth grade year I bought a guidebook "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time". I didn't own the game, I didn't even own an N64, I just loved the images so much that I convinced my dad to buy it for me. I browsed through it, then I read through it, then I read through the book again. Before i had even picked up a controller I was already in love with the story and the characters. That June, for my birthday, I got an N64 and my first video game for it was LoZ:OOT.

I played that game for 4 months straight. It really should have taken me a shorter time (since I had essentially memorized the guidebook) but I savored it all. Link was my hero, and I could go on and on about that, but I won't because lord knows I've been typing for 15 minutes already XD

I can't wait to cosplay Link again, and continue to improve this costume and do different versions of Link. As with all of my other cosplays I fall very short of all those other amazing cosplayers out there, but on a personal level, I am very proud of how this costume turned out.

Yeah, you finally dressed up as Link! :) I remember when you and my sister wrote a script for a Zelda movie - that was fun. We might still have that somewhere...! Anyways, the costume is extremely well-made: comfy tunic (fleece?), pretty durable fabric, and the props are awesome. :O I've been wanting to dress up as Saria for awhile, so if I ever get around to that, I'll let you know! :D

Ah yes, the N64. when i was five i remember my stepdad trying to play LoZOoT, and he couldnt get past a certain part. for some ungodly and freaking awesome reason, i took the controller and passed the entire level. my dad had the :iconwtfbirdplz: face on for the next couple days. Reason: i had never heard of the game before, and had never played it until right then.
